15 March 21 - Safety Testing Day

So today we had one of our annual testing days.
It's been a tiring day with 20+ inflatables all inflated and packed away for our inspector to inspect.
However do you know the importance of this "testing" you keep hearing us bang on about?
Let me explain a little...
All inflatables have to comply with the European standard EN14960 to ensure they're fit for use and safe for all of you!
Each inflatable has a certain criteria to meet such as the amount anchor points it has and the fall off heights etc. All rules which have been made with safety in mind, often the results of common accidents which have meant improvements have needed to be made.
Once tested, and passed, the inspector then sticks the little blue badge. This is known as a PIPA tag, this tag is endorsed by the HSE. This tag is searchable online on PIPA.org.uk to ensure the inflatable has a current test on and is safe for use.
Some inflatables don't come under the PIPA scope as yet, but all inflatables used for bouncing and sliding do, and therefore should all have a PIPA tag on them.
Games such as gladiator duels, bungee runs, shootouts don't have PIPA tags, however these too should be tested and will usually carry an RPii inspectors own certificate to show they're tested and safe.
You need to be looking for these tests when choosing your inflatable hire company.
All of our test certs can be see on our website on each inflatable, just click "tests" tab to see our up to date certs.
